The morning plenary will be a mix of Keynote Speeches and Panels, for a total duration of approximately three hours.
The conference will have a TV show cut with brief sessions, encouraging interaction with Q&A tools, polls and surveys.
In the afternoon we will maintain the One-to-One meetings using virtual rooms. The meeting tool will allow participants to check the available parties, schedule a virtual meeting in an half-hour slot and access the virtual meeting room at the appointed time.
Moreover, we will have a series of parallel webinars, that will be held in the afternoon, aimed at animating knowledge sharing and discussion among the professionals working within the industry.

Maurizio is currently CEO at Namex Rome IXP, where he has been contributing since 1996. A Physic graduate, he has been for some years a Magnetic Monopole hunter for Caltech University in an Italian underground laboratory. In 1996 he moved into Internet Services joining Caspur, a university consortium based in Rome where the Rome IXP was born in 1995. Head of Network and Infrastructure at Caspur, after the merger with Cineca he became the Head of the Hosting BU. He’s one of the authors of OpenWisp, an open-source system that has contributed to the development of public Wifi Services inside the Italian local public administration.He has been recognized by the European Union as an Expert in the field of Internet and Telecommunications.
Julio Sirota - Infrastructure Manager IX.br, the Internet Steering Committee project in Brazil (CGI.br) implemented by NIC.br, which operates Internet Exchange Points installed in 33 locations in Brazil. Graduated in Engineering from the University of São Paulo (USP), he holds an MBA in Project Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV).Between 2016 and 2018 collaborated with ITU in the implementation of Internet Exchange Points in Latin America.
Luca Josi, born in Albenga, Italy, in 1966. Former professional journalist, he was secretary of the Youth Socialist Movement from 1991 to 1994, and in the same years he was a member of the management and executive of the PSI (Italian Socialist Party). He founded the Einstein Multimedia group of which he was President from 1994 to 2013. He founded the Generational Pact in 2007. He is currently a director of the TIM Foundation, for which he oversaw the recovery project of the Mausoleum of Augustus and directs the Brand Strategy division , Media & Multimedia Entertainment by TIM
Barbara Lunghi is responsible for the development and management of the equity primary markets organized and managed by Borsa Italiana. Her team main objective is to raise the awareness of Italian companies and market stakeholders on the opportunities offered by the access to public markets and concretely support private companies in taking informed decisions. She joined Borsa Italiana in 2001 and contributed to the launch of STAR, the segment of Borsa Italiana’s regulated equity market (MTA) dedicated to mid&small caps committed to comply to global investor standards. In 2008 Barbara coordinated the project that led to the implementation of AIM Italia, the Italian Growth Market dedicated to ambitions SMEs, adopting a balanced regulatory approach. In 2012 she led the launch of ELITE in Italy, now evolved in the private market connecting private companies with diverse sources of capital.
Over 20 years experience in investment banking, Paolo started his career in Arthur Andersen, in the audit of relevant industrial groups operating in the Construction, Transportation and Food & Beverage industries. In 1999 he joined Arthur Andersen Corporate Finance, where he developed a significant experience in M&A and corporate finance activities for relevant industrial players such as Telecom Italia, Finmeccanica, ENI, Ferrovie dello Stato, Fintecna and HP/Compaq Group. In 2003 he co-founded EnVent S.p.A.an independent Corporate Finance and M&A firm. In 2014 he co-founded in London EnVent Capital Markets Limited, a UK and Italian independent investment banking firm and corporate broker dedicated to European SMEs where he is Head of the Capital Markets team. EnVent Capital Markets is today the broker leader in Italy for IPO's of Mid and Small Cap companies.
Luca joined Algebris in 2017 to develop our expertise in the Italian equity market. Prior to this, he was CIO of Zenit SGR where he also directly managed funds focused on Italian stocks. Before 2008, he covered the role of Equity Fund Manager for both Capitalia Asset Management and Fondicri SGR, with lead responsibility for investments in the Italian equity market. He started his career in the Finance department of Banca Popolare di Sondrio. Luca graduated com Laude in Economics and Business Administration University of Rome La Sapienza, Italy.

Antonio is also committed to business creation and enhancement, and harbours a great passion for the development of start-ups and nascent companies operating in the world of Internet and cloud computing through business angel activities and industrial relationships, mentionable is his early stage involvement as business angel and corporate investor in Docebo now listed at Nasdaq.
Co-founder and CEO of Intred Spa, a telecommunications operator listed on the Italian Stock Exchange AIM Italia market since July 2018. Founded in 1996, the company offers to consumer and business customers ultra broadband connections in Lombardia, through its own optical fiber regional network of almost 4.000 km. The company is lean and efficient, in 2020 the Intred revenues were of € 36.3 million, with net profit of € 6,1 million.
Rosario is the Founder, Ceo & Chairman of Convergenze spa SB, a technological integrated multiutility company. He earned an Engineering degree at Federico II (1997) and then a MBA at Stoà (1999) in Ercolano; following his passion for technology companies and financial markets he flew to New York to get the Series7 exam (1999) to become a Wall Street stock broker, acting as a Registered Representative for Northeast Securities covering tech stocks (up to 2011). His love for his hometown and his desire to build a better and sustainable future, drove him to invest in Italy, founding a tech company, Convergenze, in Paestum in 2005, to fix the digital divide affecting the area. Rosario served as member of the board of directors for a local bank, BCC Capaccio-Paestum, from 2003 to 2008 and then in 2013 he was elected President, serving in this role up to date. In 2013 he has been elected as a board member of Namex and in 2021 he has been nominated Vice-President of the board. In his role as entrepreneur, Rosario earned several regional and local awards like the Premio Marrama - Quotidiano Il Denaro (2004), or the Premio Primula D’oro categoria impresa (2014, 2017).
Fabrizio Casati is Chief Wholesale Officer of Fastweb and is responsible for sales and Customer Operations for the telecommunications operator market. Casati joined Fastweb in 2004 to deal with relations with other operators and to increase the size of the business in this market.
Born in 1967, before Fastweb Casati worked in Colt Telecom from 1999 to 2004, initially as Head of the Wholesale market and then as Sales Director of the Enterprise market. Previously, he held various sales roles of increasing responsibility in other telecommunications services companies such as AT&T, Sprint International and GlobalOne and in the telecommunications systems industry such as Mitel.
Luca Vit joined Huawei in 2013. Currently, he is CTO Italy Enterprise Business Group, but he also covered other roles, such as Senior Network Sales Manager, managing a product portfolio which included a wide suite of technologies like FTTx, IPDSLAM, MSAN, BRAS, Edge and IP Core routers, Switches, CPE and Security for SME applications. He also worked as IP Solution Manager in the framework of the Vodafone Business Unit. Prior to joining Huawei, he worked for other important companies, such as Vodafone, Reply and Colt.
Valentina Cinelli has been a senior Key Account Manager since 2014, handling Sparkle’s major accounts in Italy and internationally. Valentina started her career in Olivetti/Infostrada group and later on joined TMI, Telemedia International, as Product Manager for IP services.
She later joined Sparkle at the very beginning in 2003, developing the company’s IP and MPLS product line as Senior Product Manager. She was also responsible for the launch of the first Sparkle’s cloud IaaS and PaaS product line in Turkey in 2013. Valentina holds a degree BA(hons) in European Business Studies from Middlesex University, London UK.
Thierry Tomiet became Sales Director in Sparkle in 2016 taking care of IP & Data service for the Western Europe region. From 2005 to 2016 he held several sales Director and VP sales positions in Middle East & Africa and Europe. In the previous years, he served as CEO of the Spanish subsidiary and then VP Europe for Tiscali. He began his career in IM Projet in Alcatel group and later on has been focused on major TLC and power infrastructure projects in Colombia, Qatar & Europe.

Head of Mid & Small Caps Origination, Fabio Brigante is responsible for the activities to meet with entrepreneurs interested in the listing process and with their advisers in order to explore the company’s growth prospects and assess how Borsa Italiana can support them.
Born in 1965, he graduated from Milan Polytechnic with a degree in chemical engineering and then obtained an MBA from SDA Bocconi in Milan. He then founded TQL a company specialized in market research, where he was Chairman until 2001. Chief Technology Officer (CTO), born in 1968. Dr. Christoph Glingener joined ADVA Optical Networking in April 2006, assuming responsibility for all global research and development activities at sites in Europe, the United States, China and, more recently, the Middle East. In 2007, Christoph was appointed CTO. Since that time, he also leads ADVA Optical Networking’s product management and advanced technology teams. Christoph has focused on streamlining ADVA Optical Networking’s product portfolio, defining the product strategy and building the group’s standing as a global innovator in optical networking. Strategic partnerships and mergers & acquisitions are an integral part of this strategy. Additionally, in January 2015, Christoph took on responsibility for global operations, enabling ADVA Optical Networking to integrate research and development, new product introduction and global operations into a unified development operations team. Christoph’s activities at ADVA Optical Networking build on a long and successful industry career with experience gained in both academic and corporate roles. Simon Williams joined BT in 1998 and worked in various departments of its Consumer division before leading on service design for the early business broadband portfolio, through to the birth of the first satellite and ADSL internet offerings. Simon then moved to support wholesale IP and data services. Simon was an early joiner to Openreach, BT’s newly formed regulated access services division, in 2006, where he defined its new data services portfolio, including the creation and delivery of the UK’s most prolific ethernet E-Line service. A stint in Openreach’s strategy team saw him focus on mobile network opportunities, reviewing early VDSL deployment scenarios and working on service improvement initiatives. After leading Openreach’s technical sales team, focusing on OTN network bids, Simon returned to his product roots to manage and develop the optical portfolio he previously sold. Since his leadership from 2016, this portfolio has expanded to a £250m annual revenue stream, driven through product innovation and strategic partnerships to meet customer needs.
Pietro Pelizza, in the role of Head of Sales, takes care of the Fastweb sale proposition for the Wholesale market. He began his career in Italtel as Product Manager for the radio link portfolio targeted to the mobile access network. Later Pietro joined Philips in the professional services area for the Enterprise Italian market, as Product Manager and Presale Team Leader. In 2003, Pietro was hired in Fastweb as Key Account Manager, where he has been serving in different positions, progressively enhancing his responsibility in Sales. Pietro holds a degree in Electronic Engineering at the University of Pavia.

Alessandro Talotta holds the two-year postgraduate CEGA Master's degree from SDA Bocconi and has held various positions of responsibility in the telecommunications sector. He began his career in 1990 at Italtel SpA, a Telco manufacture company where he joined as a researcher and was gradually promoted to the position of Vice President for Strategic Planning,which he left in 1996. At Italtel, he dealt in particular with strategic planning in relation to access to the network and mobile networks and the implementation of the merger with Siemens. Talotta then continued its professional growth in Infostrada SpA, holding the role of Executive Director in the following sectors: Strategy, Business Development & Wholesale. Among the projects evaluated and executed: network development, customer support and go-to-market strategies for business and consumer markets. In 2001,Talotta joined Telecom Italia where he held various positions in the EVP - National Wholesale area, and also the role of Chief Regulatory Officer for three years. In 2014,he became President and CEO of Telecom Italia Sparkle SpA,the Italian telecommunications company controlled by Telecom Italia with a staff of 750 employees in North and South America, Europe, Africa, Russia, the Middle and Far East and Asia. In April 2018,Talotta left Telecom and, after a series of experiences including Fiber 4.0 Consultant and Interxion BV Amsterdam Consultant, in May 2020 he became Managing Directot at Interxion Telecom Srl and In May 2021 became Chaiman at Mix Srl - IXP
Dinesh G Dutt has been in the networking industry for the past 20 years, most of it at Cisco Systems. Most recently, he was the Chief Scientist at Cumulus Networks, working on simplifying configuration and operations with inventions such as BGP Unnumbered and NetQ. Before Cumulus, he was a Fellow at Cisco Systems. He has been a key architect of many enterprise and data center networking technologies at Cisco, including the design of many of the ASICs that powered Cisco's mega-switches such as Cat6K and the Nexus family of switches. He also has experience in storage networking from his days at Andiamo Systems and in the design of FCoE. He is a co-author of TRILL and VxLAN and has filed for over 40 patents.
Silvano Gai, who grew up in a small village near Asti, Italy, has more than 35 years of experience in computer engineering and computer networks. He is the author of several books and technical publications on computer networking as well as multiple Internet Drafts and RFCs. He is responsible for 50 issued patents. His background includes seven years as a full professor of Computer Engineering, tenure track, at Politecnico di Torino, Italy, and seven years as a researcher at the CNR (Italian National Council for Scientific Research). For the past 20 years, he has been in Silicon Valley where, in the position of Cisco Fellow, he was an architect of the Cisco Catalyst family of network switches, of the Cisco MDS family of storage networking switches, of the Nexus family of data center switches, and the Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS). Silvano is currently a Fellow with Pensando Systems.
Jane Coffin is responsible for the Internet Society’s Internet Growth project teams. The Internet Growth project teams are focused on Community Networks, Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) & interconnection, peering, and community development, and a new critical project on measuring the health of the Internet. Her work also focuses on access and development strategy, where she and other ISOC colleagues and partners focus on coordination of collaborative strategies for expanding Internet infrastructure, access, and related capacities in emerging economies with partners.
Lombardo Salvatore is an electronic engineer with more than 30 years of experience in the planning and development of Broadband Network in Italy and abroad in private TLC companies. After a long experience in the design of fiber optic networks in Italy and Spain, in 2000 has contributed to the launch of a new Italian national operator by developing an extensive national fiber optic network for the development of a fixed and wireless broadband network. Since 2004 he has been working in the company Infratel Italia company in house of the Ministry of Development, with the aim of developing broadband networks in market failure areas. He currently has the role of Managing Director contributing to the definition of the National UltraBroadBand in “White Areas” with an estimated spending of around 3 million Euro.
Francesco Bonfiglio joins GAIA-X as the new CEO. Formerly CEO of Engineering D.HUB, Italian leader in Cloud and Digital Transformation Services, Co-Founder of FoolFarm.com, AI centric Startup Studio, and VP for Confindustria Valle D’Aosta, Francesco brings more than 30 years’ experience in IT and held executive roles in multinational companies such as CTO at HP, VP at Avanade, SW Factory Director at Unisys Global, Technical Director at Rational-Software. Married, father of three children and an active musician in various productions and collaborations, Francesco believes in the power of collective intelligence, lateral thinking and teamwork as a propeller for transformation, in business as well as in life!
Nicolò Peri is a manager with more than 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry on the domestic and international markets; he joined Fiber Telecom in July 2020 where is the CEO and a member of the Board of Directors. Among the most significant previous experiences, he held the role of Chief Commercial Officer at WIS (Wind International Services), International and National Wholesale Director at Wind and previously was the Head of International Carrier Relations at Infostrada.
Marco Paesani joined Fiber Telecom AS41327 in 2018. He is currently CTO and a member of the Board of Directors. Early in 2000, he started to study on IPv6 and now he is also a promoter of this new addressing protocol. Advanced routing protocols and BGP security are the main fields in which competence and love for this job make him an appreciated network technician. He has been a network consultant for several Internet and Cloud service providers. From Q1/2021 he is also a marketing team member of Open-IX Association.
Innocenzo Genna is a strategy and public affairs consultant advising on telecoms and Internet European regulation. He also provides comments as a tech expert for various newpapers and for his professional blog RadioBruxellesLibera (https://radiobruxelleslibera.com). He’s currently VicePresident of Euroispa (the European ISP Association) and Vice President of MVNO Europe (the European Association of MVNO). Previously, he served as Board Member of the European Internet Forum (the main European foundation for Internet and telecoms), he was the chairman of ECTA (the European Competitive Telecommunications Association), while he also served as General Counsel for Tiscali S.p.A. (supervising 15 countries of operations during the 2000’ Internet peak). At beginning of his career, he was a partner attorney at Ughi e Nunziante, a leading Italian law firm based in Rome and Milan, where he dealt mainly with European, competition and ICT law cases. He also practised in Bologna at the law firm Studio Legale Bernini as well as at the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg. Innocenzo Genna graduated in law (magna cum laude) at the University of Macerata with a dissertation on the legal status of Berlin. He holds a L.L.M. of the College of Europe (Bruges) and a Magister Iuris from the University of Trier. He has also been awarded a Diplome in Comparative Law from the International Faculty of Comparative Law of Strasbourg. Beside professional practice, Innocenzo Genna is also a pianist and piano composer. Antonio Nicita is full professor of economic policy at Lumsa University, in Italy. He is a multidisciplinary scholar embracing the study of economics, law and public policy. He is also an experienced and well-known regulation and antitrust advisor for national and international public institutions and private companies. Antonio has served for six years (2014-2020) as Commissioner of the Italian Telecoms, Media and Postal Regulatory Authority (AGCOM), since 2015 and is member of OECD Steering group on regulation & emerging technologies. After having taught at the University of Siena for 12 years, Antonio currently works as full professor of Economic Policy at the University of Rome. He was also Visiting Fulbright Professor at Yale University, Visiting Scholar at the University of Paris XNanterre, at the European University Institute and at the University of Cambridge. He was Executive Board member of the European Association of Law and Economics and the International Society for New Institutional Economics (now SIOE). Antonio holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Siena and his research interests currently covers the impact of digitalisation on markets and society; data and platforms economy; media pluralism and freedom of information; economics of trans-national institutions, contracts and standards.

In 1996 he was re-elected to the Chamber of Deputies with National Alliance. He is a member of the Parliamentary Oversight Committee. In 2001 he was confirmed with the Chamber of Deputies taking on the role of deputy group leader of National Alliance. He is a member of the Culture Committee and of the RAI Oversight Committee. In 2006 he was elected to the Senate of the Republic and is a member of the 7th Standing Committee (Public education, cultural heritage), of the parliamentary committee for the general management and oversight of radio and television services. He is secretary of the 8th Standing Committee: Public Works, Communications. On 20 December 2012 he left the PDL to join the newly established Brothers of Italy - National Center party (which brings together the members of the former AN, founded by Ignazio La Russa) of which he became deputy leader in the Senate. At the political elections of March 4, 2018 he was re-elected to the Chamber of Deputies in the list of Brothers of Italy thanks to his victory in the single-member constituency of Lecco.
Graduated in Economic and Social Disciplines, after an academic experience he enters marketing and strategic consulting, first in the IT sector and later in telecommunications. He created and directs the Broadband Observatory which since 2000 has been analyzing the regulatory, technological and market scenarios underlying multimedia convergence. Advisor in M&A transactions.
